THE EDITOR'S STORY.....

Fluid Gold Journal was created to share the rich and unfiltered stories of Filipino culture before colonization. My original 15-page essay, packed with the depth and complexity of our heritage, faced requirements to be shortened and simplified by traditional publishers. Refusing to dilute our history, I launched Fluid Gold Journal as a platform to celebrate and preserve our intricate cultural narratives.

 

MODEL ONE

Before colonization, the Philippines was a bustling trade hub, connecting with China, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, and Taiwan. This era saw not just an exchange of goods, but also vibrant cultural and knowledge sharing, making the pre-colonial Philippines a unique cultural melting pot.

Imagine a lively Asian family gathering, where stories flow as freely as the food and laughter. Each member shares daily life tales, while elders recount legendary family stories. These oral traditions form the heartbeat of our cultural identities.
